Church of Christ at Federal Way

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… teach and admonish one another… sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.” (Colossians 3:16)

A church of Christ is simply a community of people who follow Jesus together. We seek to do this as a community of people located around Federal Way, WA. One of the ways we point one another to Christ is by gathering each week to dwell in Scripture, sing songs, and share communion together. If you are searching for community or interested in knowing Christ, we invite you to join us as we seek to follow him together.

Crossing the Street

“As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” (John 20:21)

Our existence as a church is not limited to our building on Sundays. From here, we “cross the street” into everyday life as we continue following Christ and supporting one another throughout the week. Just as Christ crossed the “eternal street” when he came and dwelt among us, so we seek to cross the street by loving and serving our neighbors. One of the ways that we literally cross the street is by serving at Wildwood Elementary School, located in the neighborhood across the street from our building.

Partnering for Peace

“Christ is our peace… he has made us one and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility between us.” (Ephesians 2:14)

As followers of Jesus, we are called to be peacemakers, a reconciling force in the world. Though we are one community of Christians, we know that we are not alone in this work of peacemaking and reconciliation. So we seek to join others along the way by partnering with other churches and organizations to provide meals and host groups in our building throughout the week.

Discovering the Kingdom

“The kingdom of God is among you.” (Luke 17:21)

One of the things about following Jesus is the ongoing nature of it. We don’t believe we have everything figured out, but rather that God has invited us on a journey into his kingdom. As followers of Jesus, we believe that his kingdom can be found in every area of life from sacred moments of prayer to monotonous moments of the every day, from the heights of our joys to the depths of our brokenness, the kingdom of God is breaking forth! You are also invited on this journey of healing, restoration, and discovering the kingdom of God!
